Self-Esteem and its Relationship to Emotional Stability among Females with Delayed Marriage: A Comparative Study between Working and Non-working Females in Hai Al-Andalus Municipality

This study aimed to investigate the relationship between self-esteem and emotional stability among females with delayed marriage and to identify differences in these variables based on occupational status (working vs. non-working). The study adopted a descriptive methodology (correlational and comparative) and was conducted on a sample of 300 females with delayed marriage in the Hai Al-Andalus municipality of Tripoli, aged 28 to 38 years, selected through purposive-random sampling. Standardized psychological scales for self-esteem and emotional stability were administered after verifying their psychometric properties. The results revealed a statistically significant positive correlation between self-esteem and emotional stability. Furthermore, findings indicated significant differences in self-esteem levels in favor of working females. The study recommended enhancing psychological and vocational empowerment programs for this group to improve their overall mental health.
