Abstract

This study aims to identify the most prominent social problems facing individuals with hearing impairment and evaluate the professional intervention strategies employed by social workers to facilitate their social integration. The study utilized a descriptive-analytical methodology, with a comprehensive census applied to social workers at the Al-Amal Center for the Education and Rehabilitation of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Tripoli. The findings revealed that social isolation and communication barriers are the leading social challenges. Furthermore, the results indicated that while social workers employ various traditional intervention strategies, there is a lack of advanced inclusive programs. The study recommends the development of comprehensive professional intervention models that focus on community awareness and the use of assistive technologies to ensure effective social inclusion.
